Course Description: |
Introduction to analysis of variance, regression analysis,
correlation analysis, and nonparametric techniques. Continued use
of SAS programming language. There are two lectures and one 1.5-hour lab per week. |
Lab: |
The main lectures (3080-1) meet on MW 9:40-10:30 am WBB 617.
In order to sign up for this course, the student registers for the
statistical computing lab (3080-2).
Attendance is mandatory for both the main lectures,
and the lab. |
Grading: |
The student's grade is based on scores from the lab (10%), homework assignments
(10%), two midterms
(25% each), and a comprehensive final
exam (30%). The midterm exams are not comprehensive. The
grading curve follows.
The instructor makes refinements to the grade (e.g., A-, B+,
etc.) in accord with the fine details of
the student's individual performance.

Exams: |
The best two of the three midterm scores
make up 50% of the student's grade in the course. The lowest
midterm score is dropped. There are no
make-up tests in this course, and the midterms
are not comprehensive
(dates).
There is also a comprehensive final exam;
it accounts for 30% of the grade (schedule). |

New assignments are announced during the lectures,
and have assigned due dates.
