These mini-courses were intended for graduate students with some
background and interest in the respective subjects and introduced
current research topics. Some financial support was availabe through
the Department's VIGRE grant for graduate students who are
U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents. Students with other
means of support were welcome to apply.
