2008 Utah State Math Contest Registration

Read Registration Policies.

Grades 10 - 12

Small School

    If the arithmetic mean per grade for your school is less than 350, your school needs to be registered as a small school.

Large School

    If the arithmetic mean per grade for your school is equal to or more than 350, your school needs to be registered as a large school.

Grades 7 - 9

Small School

    If the arithmetic mean per grade for your school is less than 200, your school needs to be registered as a small school.

Large School

    If the arithmetic mean per grade for your school is equal to or more than 200, your school needs to be registered as a large school.


NOTE: If your school is a small school (as outlined above), then you may register at most 5 students per grade!! If your school is a large school (as outlined above), then you can register up to 10 students per the high school grades (9th-12th), but only 5 students per the junior high school grades (7th-8th). These rules will be adhered to with absolutely no exceptions, in order to be fair to all participants.
We reserve the right to check enrollment at all registered schools to ensure the small/large school status is correct.

Check the status of your registration.

Check your classroom assignments for the State Math Contest (for those schools coming to the University of Utah for the exam).


After you have registered, an email will be sent to you to confirm your registration (usually within 1-3 business days). If your payment is postmarked by February 19th, 2008 , then the fee is $15 per student. Payments postmarked after February 19th, but by March 11th, will need to be $20 per student.
