meeting is to highlight exciting areas of growth in the field and to
provide a perspective on future directions for mathematical biology.
Highlights of the meeting include plenary talks,
minisymposia, a student
career lunch, a new mentoring program and
field trips.

Welcome to the 2000 International Conference on Mathematics in Biology and
Annual Meeting of the Society for Mathematical Biology, held in Salt Lake
City, Utah from Thursday August 3 until Saturday August 5.
The meeting was designed to be particularly attractive to students by providing
a broad view of mathematical biology and inviting excellent plenary and minisymposia
speakers. The meetings highlights for students include:
