Math Biology Seminar

Mathematical Biology Research Program at the University of Utah

Program Overview

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah has a research group consisting of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, whose work is at the forefront of mathematical biology research and education.

Research in Mathematical Biology is in five broad areas: Biofluids and Biogels, Biophysics and Stochastics, Ecology, Epidemiology and Immunology, Neuroscience, and Physiology. The boundaries between these areas are quite porous, with significant overlap and interaction between them. However, the overarching goal of this effort is to use mathematical reasoning and techniques to gain insights into complex biological phenomena.

A more complete description of the program is given in the links listed on the left.
