Announcements
- August 5th - The final exam is now graded, and the final exam with solutions are posted below. You may pick up your final exam from the main office in the JWB math building. Your final grade is now posted on WebCT, and your final grade will be posted on Campus Information Systems on August 8th. Please contact me before then if you have any issues with your final grade. Thanks for working so hard this summer, and I wish you the best. -Dylan
- July 29th - Today was the last day of lecture, and tomorrow is the final exam. You will have three hours for the final, from 12:30 PM until 3:30 PM. It will be in our standard classroom, JWB 335. You may have four pages of notes, front and back. Also, there is a final tomorrow in our review session room in the basement of the physics building. So, please be sure to not enter the room before 11:30 AM. Happy studying!
- July 28th - Today the third midterms were handed back, and we covered sections 14.2 and 14.3. The quiz tomorrow, which will be our last, will cover sections 14.2 and 14.3.
- July 25th - Today we had our two hour review session and our third and final midterm. The quiz on Monday will cover sections 13.7, 13.8, and 14.1.
- July 23rd - Today we finished section 13.7 and covered sections 13.8 and 14.1. The midterm on Friday will be on all the sections from chatper 13 that we've covered, but will not have material from section 14.1. Also, there will be no class tomorrow (enjoy the break!) but on Friday we will have a two hour review session instead of a one hour review session before the midterm. The review session will be in our standard classroom, JWB 335.
- July 22nd - Today we covered sections 13.3, 13.4, 13.6, and started section 13.7. The quiz tomorrow will be on sections 13.3, 13.4, and 13.6. We won't be covering section 13.5.
- July 21st - Today we covered sections 13.1 and 13.2, and most of section 13.3. The quiz tomorrow will be on sections 13.1 and 13.2. I've decided we won't be covering section 12.9.
- July 17th - Today we covered section 11.8, and had a review session. We're a bit behind schedule in the sections we're going to cover, so I'm not sure how the schedule will change right now, but the schedule will be changing. There will be a midterm tomorrow.
- July 16th - Today we finished sections 12.6 and 12.7. Tomorrow we will hopefully be covering sections 12.8 and 12.9. The quiz tomorrow will only cover at most up to section 12.7. Also, please note that I will not be here on Friday, and Kelly will be filling in for me on that day.
- July 15th - We finished section 12.3 today and went through sections 12.4 and 12.5. I think it was the most boring day so far, and hopefully the most boring day we'll have. We started section 12.6, but didn't finish it, so the quiz tomorrow could only possibly be through section 12.5.
- July 14th - The first midterm has been graded and was returned today. We started on chapter 12, and covered sections 12.1 and 12.2, along with most of section 12.3 from the textbook. The quiz tomorrow will only cover through section 12.2. Also, on Friday Kelly MacArthur will be filling in for me during office hours and the review session.
- July 9th - We really cruised today! We finished section 14.4, and then covered 14.5, 14.6, and 14.8. We will not be covering section 14.7. Also, some suggested review problems for the midterm are posted below. If you're just dying for even more math problems to do, check them out.
- July 8th - Today we covered sections 14.2 and 14.3 of the textbook, the sections on vectors and dot products. We began section 14.4, the section on cross products, but we didn't finish it. So, the quiz tomorrow will be on just sections 14.2 and 14.3. Also, we took our first quiz today, and the grades for that quiz should be posted this afternoon on WebCT.
- July 7th - Today is the first day of class. We'll have an introduction and we'll be covering sections 10.4 and 11.1 from the textbook. The quiz today will be an easy, non-math "get to know you" quiz that should be the easiest points you'll earn all month. Don't get use to it! Also, please note that the deadline to drop the class without penalty is this Wednesday, so if you don't think you can handle the class please drop it by Wednesday!
