Modern Algebra I, Fall 2013

• (12/21) The grade is now posted and can be viewed at CIS. 16 students are in the class. 10 students get A or A-. 4 students in B+ or B. Please let me know if you have any concern about the grades.
• (12/20) Final exams and HW for Ch 5 are available to pick up. Also -- By the way, the website for 6320 is up and you can find syllabus and other relevant information there. Happy holidays.
• (12/12) Next semester class time: TH 12:25-13:45 and W 11:50-12:45.
• (11/25) Due date for Ch 4 HW is extended to Wed. You can email me your HW as a PDF file attachment.
• (10/26) The MT score distribution: 90-100:10, 80-89:3, 70-79:2, 60-69:1. Median is 91. 16 students participated in the exam.
• (10/25) There is an error in Problem 3 of the midterm exam. I am giving all students full credit for that problem. My apologies!
• (10/22) Due date for Ch.2 HW was 21 Oct, but I will accept HW until the exam time (3PM on 23 Oct.)
• (10/2) Next semester's class time will be TH 12:25-1:45 and W 3-3:50. Please keep those time open if you plan to take this class in the next semester and let me know if you have any question.
• (9/26) Due date for Chapter 1 HW is extended to 30 Sep due to numerous request. You are welcome to turn it in on Friday though.
• (posted 8/9) Every week we will meet for one extra hour. In case I have travel (conferences etc.), the class will be cancelled.
