Announcements:
- (12/14) The grade is now posted. You should be able to saee your grade by logging into CIS. -- This really is a great class, with more than half of the class getting A or A-.
- (11/30) By an unanimous vote, the 4th midterm exam is now set on Wednesday, 12/5 in the same room. There will be a review on Monday, 12/3.
- (11/29) Please come to class on Friday, 30 Nov. Two students suggested moving the 4th midterm back to Wednesday (12/5), and collect the exam on Friday (12/7) during the extra class. Come to the class and cast your vote.
- (11/27) There will be a review session for final exam on Friday, 7 December at the usual class time 11:50-12:40 in JWB 308.
- (10/30) The third midterm exam will be held on Wednesday, 7th Nov. There will be an extra office hour on Thursday, 1st Nov at 5pm, in JWB 308.
- (10/4) The second midterm exam will be returned on Friday, 5th Oct. The median is in the 90+ %.
- (9/24) The seoond midterm exam is scheduled on next Wednesday, 3rd Oct. There will be an extra office hour 5-6pm in JWB 308.
- (9/18) The first midterm statistics: median > 70. 90-100: 7, 80-89: 3, 70-79: 6, 60-69: 1, 50-59: 3, 0-49: 5.
- (9/14) Additional PDF on local properties of analytic functions.
- (9/7) The first midterm exam is set on Wednesday, 12 September. It covers everything up to Section 3.3, including the contents from the PDF file on Cauchy's theorem.
- (9/7) Additional PDF on higher derivatives of Cauchy integral formula.
- (9/1) For HW in Section 2.6, you will need Theorem 2.6.7, which we haven't proved, but you can use it.
- (8/24) Selected pages from Ch. 2. Cauchy's Theorem from another book.
- (8/22) If you are interested to be a notetaker for this class, please get the form from me. The Center for Disability & Access at the U is looking for a paid notetaker, at $50/semester for the handwritten notes or $75 for typed note.
- (8/22) You can read Ch. 1 online if you can't get your book in time.
- (8/20) Brian pointed out that a stament in Sect 1.2 Problem 3 is clearly false. There should be an absolute value sign on the right hand side.
