My name is Mikhail Sweeney; I generally go by Misha. I am a fourth year PhD student in the mathematics department at the University of Utah. I graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 2020 with a B.A. in honors mathematics.
I am a probabilist and my research interests include KPZ universality, stochastic PDE’s, signal processing, and random convex hulls. Additionally, I am a hobby physicist and enjoy learning about quantum mechanics and quantum field theories. Please see my research tab for more information about my mathematical interests.
Outside of academics I am an avid climber, reader, and guitar player. Also an aspiring banjo player.
