GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
A 3 to 4 hour canyon with some minor potholes,
a small keeper pothole, and 6–7 rappels.

DRIVE:
Drive south on Hwy 95 from Hanksville and turn east at mile post 10.1 onto the BLM signed road to Angel Trail. You will bypass several lesser dirt roads on your way. Stay on the main road unless instructed to turn. Drive approximately 2.4 miles and turn right (southeast) at a Y in the road [ATTURN, UTM NAD83\WGS84 534094mE 4232786mN]. Continue 3.4 miles and turn left (northeast) at BTURN, UTM 538061mE 4230236mN. This section of dirt road will have some sandy and bumpy spots and may require a 4WD and high clearance vehicle. Drive another 3.0 miles and park at B9PK, UTM 540214mE 4234093mN. Driving time from Hwy 95 is about 20 to 30 minutes.
HIKE:
From the parking spot hike northwest to the head of the slot at B9ST, UTM 539632mE 4234671mN as shown on the map.
EXIT:
After completing the canyon, exit to the left (southwest) out of the drainage up the main Beaver Canyon to the next small side drainage upstream at B9X, UTM 538890mE 4234858mN. Follow the route on the map to make your way along the sandstone rim on the right side looking upcanyon (LUC). Continue upward across the sandstone as shown and make your way back to your vehicle.
COMMENTS:
A fine 3 to 4 hour canyon with several rappels and a small Keeper Pothole which can be overcome by teamwork. You may find a small 4–foot deep perennial pool at the end of the final section.
