The final exam will be designed to cover chapters 14,15,16,17 only, no contact directly with chapter 13. Weighting is as follows: chapter 14: 20% 2 problems chapter 15: 20% 2 problems chapter 16: 30% 3 problems chapter 17: 30% 3 problems The final exam counts like 2 midterms, because it is 2 hours of writing instead of 50 minutes. The final exam problems are scored in the same way as the midterms, 0-100 each. The final exam score is then figured from the formula final exam score == (sum of 10 final exam problem scores)/5 == a number between 0 and 200 The midterm score and the final exam scores are averaged to find the exam average for the course.
