       SUBROUTINE  SYM00
 C$    (Symbol Initialization)
 C$    This routine must  be called internally  before any  symbol
 C$    drawing with  the Hershey  fonts can  be accommodated.   It
 C$    must be  updated  if the  number  of fonts,  MAXFNT,  which
 C$    involves dimensions of arrays in COMMON /SYM03/ is changed.
