August 3 - August 7, 2009
The Department of Mathematics is planning a summer workshop for Utah teachers. If you are a teacher and would like to spend some time with other teachers, mathematicians and mathematics educators talking about mathematics and other topics relevant to your profession we encourage you to apply to our program. We promise an intellectually stimulating, friendly and engaging atmosphere filled with challenging problems both mathematically and pedagogically.
We hope that our program will inspire you to continue mathematical conversations as well as collaborations with your colleagues in your home town. We will remain a resource for you after we finish our mini course, but our real hope is that you will become a resource to your colleagues, both to those who shared your experiences during this week as well as to those who had not.
This program is supported by a grant from the Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI), the University of Utah's NSF-VIGRE grant, and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah.
